As part of our efforts to promote education and nostalgia of the authentic paleteria experience, La Michoacana is happy to present the following scholarship opportunity:

​

La Michoacana will award $500 to ten college students each year. Applying for this scholarship is simple and fun. All you have to do is send in a 15-second video that is engaging in some way. Be as creative as you like!

• With La Michoacana's core values being family, culture, and tradition, the video should promote the paleteria experience, which is sharing the tradition of flavor exploration with those that matter the most.

• The video can be funny, inspiring, interesting, or artistic while promoting what the paleteria experience means to you.

• It must be 15 seconds or less and somehow involve a La Michoacana branded product. It can be a paleta, bolis, or vaso, but brand packaging must be included.

• Be sure not to include physical paleterias/ice cream scoop shops as we are not associated with them.

• Video can be in Spanish, English, or Spanglish.

• Posting video submission on social media is not required. However, if you would like to share it on social media, be sure to tag us @LaMichoacanaYtu.

• Applicants must be high school seniors or currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education. DACA and undocumented students are especially encouraged to apply.
