La Michoacana Gives Back to its Local Community

At La Michoacana, we strive to deliver the authentic paleteria experience to help create memorable moments for you to share with your friends and family. To continue this vital connection with your loved ones, Tropicale Foods aims to share the paleteria experience by giving back to the community.

Tropicale Foods recently donated a pallet of La Michoacana ice cream bars, also known as paletas, to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office for their first responders. The Sheriff’s Department saw this as the perfect opportunity to do more.

“We decided to take it one step further and have the opportunity to donate within the community.”, says Michelle Armas, the President of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Employee Foundation.

A partnership between La Michoacana and the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department was created, with more donations planned for the near future to various organizations within the community. Donations have been made to the shelters at the Salvation Army and Women’s Crisis Center so far.

“Ice cream makes everybody happy,” says Vince Burress, Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety at La Michoacana. “This is a way for us to reach out to the community and show our gratitude. The world needs happiness right now, and this is our little piece to be able to make people happy.”

If you are a part of a local non-profit organization and would like to be included in our donations list, please email us at hola@michoacana.com subject: Add to Donation List.
